Renewing the mind is a little like refinishing furniture. It is a two-stage process. It involves taking off the old and replacing it with the new. The old is the lies you have learned to tell or were taught by those around you; it is the attitudes and ideas that have become a part of your thinking but do not reflect reality. The new is the truth. To renew your mind is to involve yourself in the process of allowing God to bring to the surface the lies you have mistakenly accepted and replace them with truth. To the degree that you do this, your behavior will be transformed.

Loving God but Not the Church!
Many people say it is possible to love God but do not attend church because they don’t like the church. But, I say it is really impossible. I have been in church almost all my life, and I know there is the good, the bad, and the imperfect within the household of God. But, sometimes, outsiders, with no knowledge of the church, assume everyone is a “perfect” Christian. Sometimes, they forget that even sinners go to church. One of the most common excuses for not going to church is that the people within the church are hypocrites. Anyone who feels this way really should look at himself, and here is why, God is a God of love; He loves everyone, and He makes rain fall on both the righteous and the unrighteous.
